Suggested use(s): Cajeput oil is a kind of essential oil and is diluted before use. It is used internally as well as externally. Cajeput essential oil acts as analgesic, antiseptic and anti-neuralgic. Oil of Cajeput has been used traditionally for curing acne and headaches, it eases breathing difficulties and helps in healing of muscles and suppresses joints pain.

Cajeput oil is also insecticidal; hence used for healthy looking skin. It also brings relief from boils and carbuncles,ringworms and various fungal infections, scabies, erosion of cervix and represses swelling around fingers and toes. It is a good remedy for infectious sinus and is also used to get remedy for troubles related to respiratory tracks.

Cedearwood oil is one of the most popularly bought essential oils. It is an extraction of cedarwood chips and saw dust that possesses many therapeutic benefits and medicinal properties.

Botany

Cedarwood is also known as Deodar cedar, grows to a height of 131 feet high. It belongs to Abietaceae family. This evergreen tree appears as pyramid in shape that has grey-greenish needles and oval-shaped cones.

A Brief History of Cedarwood Oils

Cedarwood oils are obtained from sawdust and wood chips via the steam distillation process. The aroma of the oil is soft and pencil-like. The color of the oil thus obtained appears as light orange to pale yellow in color and appears slightly viscous.

Matricaria Recutita, also kown as Matricaria chamomilla, is an annual plant that belongs to the plant family Asteraceae. The plant has straight branches and smooth stems, having a height of 15–60 cm.
